SPARC 7 processor module

Space qualified single board computers featuring the following microprocessors and digital signal processors are available from Southwest Research Institute (SwRI):

  • SPARC V7 (TSC695F)

  • 21020 DSP

  • RTX-2010

  • PowerPC 603e

  • SPARC V8 (TSC697)

SwRI single board computers have flown on or are in development for the following missions:

  • MSTI-I, MSTI-II, and MSTI-III

  • Deep Space 1

  • Coriolis

  • Swift

  • Deep Impact

  • Orbital Express

  • GLAST

  • Kepler

  • WISE

  • JUNO

Capabilities Provided by SwRI Single Board Computers

  • Up to 512 KB EDAC protected EEPROM

  • Up to 2 MB EDAC protected SRAM

  • VME A32:D32 master, cPCI target, cPCI master

  • Mission elapsed timer

  • System watchdog timer

  • MIL-STD-1553B BC/RT

  • Discrete I/O

    • Up to 56 high-level (+28 V) pulse outputs

    • Up to 32 low-level (+5 V) pulse/level outputs

    • Up to 48 bi-level inputs

  • Analog telemetry collection

    • Up to 20 single ended and 16 differential analog Inputs

    • 12 bit A/D-UART interfaces (up to 115 Kbps)

  • Bus interfaces available:  VME slave, VME master, or custom

  • Form factor:  6 U, extended 6 U, and custom
