SwRI: Engine Design Section specializes in designing and analyzing engines, mechanical design, mechanical analysis, and thermodynamic analyses of engine performance

Engine design and analysis is the specialized area of expertise in the Engine Design Section at Southwest Research Institute (SwRI). Their engine design and analysis experience includes:

  • Mechanical design

  • Mechanical analysis

  • Thermodynamic analyses of engine performance

The Engine Design Section uses a variety of tools and techniques in a product-centered approach to component and system design.

Engine Design Experience

SwRI experience ranges from design and development of component and system upgrades to "clean sheet" full-engine designs to meet new product requirements, improve exhaust emissions, increase fuel economy, and gain higher power output. The SwRI Engine Design Section is also experienced in evaluation and development of unique engine concepts and problem solving and analyses of production engine components.

The skills and experience of the SwRI Engine Design Section, a close working relationship with the client, our commitment to quality, as well as the unique advantages of doing business with SwRI are key reasons why the majority of our revenue is from repeat business.
