The Satellite Tool Kit (STK) was used with MATLAB® to model the space-track function of the PARCS Radar site.

Radar performance modeling and integration of best-in-class COTS (commercial off the shelf) tools with custom programming and interfaces for specific radar sites are two areas of expertise among engineers at Southwest Research Institute (SwRI).

The Satellite Tool Kit® (STK) was used with MATLAB® to model the space-track function of the PARCS Radar site. This tool can be used to optimize the site tasking for detection of as many objects as possible. The tasking could also be modified some other optimality factor (i.e., weighting detection probability by importance).
