Environmental and Demilitarization
Technology Department
The Environmental and Demilitarization Technology Department in the
Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Division develops and applies innovative technology to
solve the environmental problems of industry and government. The department focuses on
technology to assess environmental contamination; develops alternative production
techniques and substitute materials to eliminate or minimize pollution of air, water, or
soil; develops more cost effective techniques to clean up past environmental
contamination; and performs custom chemical processing for the production of clean energy
sources.
